Terms of use

Bamen, Bamen Learning. Last updated 2026-11-07.

The subscription

Bamen Pass costs $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year (or the local prices shown in Google Play) and unlocks every line, level, voice and feature.

New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per Google account. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, Google Play charges the price of the plan you chose and the subscription renews every month or year, matching that plan, until you cancel.

Cancel any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy.

Free content

The Basics and Numbers stations and the Phrasebook can be used without a subscription.

Using the content

The lessons, sentences, recordings and illustrations are licensed to you for personal study. Please do not redistribute them.

Accuracy

We check every sentence, reading and translation, but language is nuanced. If something looks wrong, tell us at bamen@bamenlearning.com and we will fix it.

Liability

The app is provided as is. Phrases about health, emergencies or legal matters are for language practice and are not medical or legal advice; in an emergency in Japan call 119 (fire/ambulance) or 110 (police).
